Anyone (individual authors and groups of authors) who has submitted all documents according to the Regulations can participate in the contest without age limit. ⠀ The first stage – Preparatory – is from January 15 to February 15. Accepting applications for participation. ⠀ The second stage – Qualifying – from February 17 to 21. The Selection Committee chooses up to 20 nominees for participation in the next stage. ⠀ The third stage – Final – is from February 22 to March 1 until 12:00 (local time).⠀ ⠀ Admitted competitive microfilms are published on the official website of the Spirit of Fire IDFF http://ugrafest.ru/ for online voting. ⠀ The jury meeting to select the winners will be held on March 1. ⠀ ⠀ The fourth stage – Awarding – will be held on March 3 at 19:00. The meeting of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the XXI Spirit of Fire International Debut Film Festival was held on November 11, 2022. The Governor of Ugra, Natalia Komarova, chaired the meeting.

It was attended by the Vice-President of the Festival Maria Zvereva, Chairman of the Selection Committee, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Roscongress Foundation Elena Marinina, representatives of Gazpromneft-Khantos LLC, as well as heads of relevant departments and institutions of the region and prominent figures of the world film community.

This year's event will be held from February 22 to 28 and will include the programs of two festivals at once: last year's 19 th and 20 th festivals.

The 19th Spirit of Fire International Debut Film Festival has been postponed to 2022; it will be held on February 22-28.
