A round table on charity was held today at the CTC “Ugra-Classic” as part of the 18th “Spirit of Fire” IDFF.

Vice-President of the Festival, Program Director Maria Zvereva initially said that such an event was held for the first time within the framework of the Film Festival.

“We hope that we will annually hold such a meeting of actors, directors and people from the film industry, who are involved in charity, as well as business, government, and the media. Our colleagues invest their popularity, talent and faces for fundraising to help people,” Maria Zvereva said.

She recalled that last year for the first time at the opening of the Forum they showed not a film, but a performance. It was “StikhoVarenie” by Yulia Peresild and the “Galchonok” Foundation, where star actors played for free, and funds were raised to help those in need.

Leonid Yarmolnik said that the purpose of this event is to attract maximum attention to charity: “You need to treat those in need as if it happened to your loved ones. This is the right attitude to life. Charity makes everyone involved better.”

The actor is the chairman of the board of trustees of the International Charity Fund for Animal Relief "Giving Hope", and also he participates in the activities of the "Artist" and "Life in Motion" funds and raises funds for them.

Honored Actress and People's Actress of Russia Irina Rozanova told that she is participating in the activities of the “Give Life” Foundation, which is 13 years old. Actors and artists take active part in its events. Already about 48 thousand children have been cured thanks to him. Funds from charitable concerts are aimed to help children, and this is real help. The journalists were shown the video of this fund, and the singer Zemfira granted the rights to her song “Khochesh”. The principal idea of the video is that children are stronger than you imagine.

Ekaterina Lebedeva, Deputy Director for development of the “Change one life” fund, said the organization promotes adoption of orphans in families. “We shoot their video resumes, we travel to 78 regions of Russia. In 8 years, almost 45 thousand profiles have already been done. Of these, 17 thousand children were adopted into families. By showing orphans as they are, it is more likely to find parents. Today there are about 44 thousand orphans in the country,” Ekaterina Lebedeva said. The ambassadors of “Change one life” are Sergei Bezrukov, Victoria Isakova, Yulia Vysotskaya and other famous people. The fund is grateful for any help, both financial and informational.

Filmmaker Nigina Sayfullaeva helps the “Shalash” foundation, where they teach foster children from 9 to 12 years old for free. Children are taught to understand and express their emotions, take responsibility and bring things to the end, work in a group and negotiate with each other.

Maria Zvereva also told about the charity foundation “I Am Not Alone” of Marietta Tsigal-Polishchuk, theater and film actress. It was established in 2016 after the first theater festival of the same name for children without parental care. The board of trustees includes famous teachers, actors, directors: director Pavel Chukhrai, producer Igor Tolstunov, actresses Olga Lomonosova, Agrippina Steklova. Vladimir Kimmelman represents the foundation at the festival and has already held master classes with children from foster families of Ugra, participants of the 18th Ugra competition “Sozvezdie”.

At the end of the meeting, Vice-President of the Film festival summed up: “The main goal of today's round table is expertise. We select foundations, where trustees are our colleagues, we are confident in their crystal honesty that the funds raised are used correctly to help those in need.”

Ugra is fundraising for the treatment of one and a half year old Yuliana Syrtseva from Yugorsk. The girl needs 150 million rubles. The diagnosis is spinal muscular atrophy of the 2nd type. 1 injection will cure a girl, it must be delivered until the baby is 2 years old. Three children in Russia have already collected this amount. Yuliana may be the fourth.
