The international comic book contest "Films I would like to see" will be held for the first time at the XVIII IDFF "Spirit of Fire"

The international comic book contest "Films I would like to see" (hereinafter the Contest) will be organized for the first time in the framework of the XVIII International Debut Film Festival "Spirit of Fire".

Its main goals and objectives are to stimulate the creative abilities of children, to develop an interest to comics form as a separate art form, to form a fund of children's works of art, to attract artists to the aesthetic education of the younger generation and to promote the results of children's creativity.

Pupils of children's schools of fine arts and fine arts departments of children's art schools, members of creative associations are invited to participate.

The contest is held in 2 age groups: up to 12 years and 13-17 years.

Each participant can submit only one work. At the correspondence stage, up to three simultaneously submitted works are accepted for consideration by the Expert Council of the contest.

Children with disabilities participate on an equal basis with others.

The participant sends scanned images of his / her works, application form and essay to the address:

The work should be performed on 1 sheet of paper no larger than 297 mm x 420 mm (comic strip)

Each work is accompanied by an essay that describes the idea and plot, information that cannot be conveyed through dialogues and thoughts. The text should have no more than 1800 symbols with a single space, the font is 14 Times New Roman (no more than one A4 page). Image width and height from 800 px to 2000 px. The size of the image file should not exceed 4 MB, the file is sent in CBR, JPEG, PNG format.

All work files must contain the following information: age, first name, last name, city, country. Example: 10 Ivanov Ivan Khanty-Mansiysk Russia.

Reception of works of participants: from December 1 to February 1, 2020.

All works submitted for the contest are published on the website for online voting to determine the winner on February 6.

Online voting will be held from 6 to 20 February.

In addition to the main nominations special certificates and awards can be awarded: "For the best implementation of the topic of the contest", "To the youngest participant of the contest".

The exhibition of the contestants' works "Films I would like to see" will be presented at the State Art Museum from February 21 to March 9.

The awards ceremony will be held at the closing ceremony of the XVIII IDFF "Spirit of Fire" on March 9.

The winners will receive invitations to film screenings and workshops of the XVIII IDFF "Spirit of Fire" from March 6 to 9. They will also be awarded a certificate for visiting a workshop in the "Animation Workshop" of the Big Cartoon Festival in March 2020 in Moscow.
