Open Photo Contest "Let's think about the future today" within XVIII International Festival of Cinematographic Debuts "Spirit of Fire" started accepting applications.
The primary idea of the Contest is to create a unique platform to generate a system for promoting ideas of social orientation, patriotism, volunteerism in information space with the help of the fine-art photography.
The Contest is aimed at uniting creative efforts of beginners and professional photographers.
Participants of the Contest are determined on the basis of the Competitive selection of social oriented photos on the topic "Let's think about the future today" (all ideas are accepted).
There is also an opportunity to participate in the special children nomination of the Contest "The world through the eyes of children" in two age groups: 6-11 years, 12-16 years. The awards ceremony will be held within the framework of the "Chitalkin "Small Cinema" project on March 8.
The stages of the Contest:
First stage – Preparatory – from the date of publication of the Regulations on the Festival website till February 1, 2020. Second stage – Qualifying – from February 2 till February 14, 2020.
The Selection Committee select up to 20 nominees for participation in the next stage of the Contest.
Third stage – Final – from February 15 till March 1, 2020.
Winner of the special nomination "The world through the eyes of children" is determined by the general addition of the votes of the Contest jury and Internet voting.
The Official awards ceremony will be held on March 6, 2020. Announcement of the results of the Contest will take place at the closing ceremony of the XVIII International Festival of Cinematographic Debuts "Spirit of Fire".
Competitive works and applications are submitted in Russian and English languages.
Series of 7-10 photos and single photos are accepted to the Contest. One participant (a team) can submit no more than 5 works to the Contest (a series is regarded as one work). Photos shall be provided on electronic media (flash card, DVD), and by e-mail. Technical requirements: image up to 3MB; size recommended – 1024x768 pixels; resolution – 300 dpi or higher.
According to the results of the Contest, 4 winners are determined (the results of the Contest in three nominations are summed up independently of each other):
· by results of the Internet voting,
· after the meeting of the Contest jury,
· by results of voting in a special children nomination in the 6-11 age group,
· by results of voting in a special children nomination in the 12-16 age group.
Following the results of the Contest, four prizes will be awarded. Prizes are determined by the Executive Directorate of the Contest and awarded by the Chairman of the jury.
Winners and participants of the Contest may be invited to the awards ceremony by the decision of the organizers (organizers may cover travel and accommodation costs if necessary).
