An event for children and teenagers “Your Cinema” has been an opening for the XVI Festival “Spirit of Fire”.

The screenings of movies and cartoons has already begun in Kinocentr, Langal and National Museum of Art on the 1st of March in Khanty-Mansiysk.

The children were the first viewers of the festival.

The event took place in Arts Centre for Gifted Children of the North. Groups from Conert and Theartre Center “Ugra-Classic” which are the Children’s Theatre of Choreography “Dance Academy”, the band “Mlada”, Aleksey Peresidliy and Andrey Popov have performed in front of an audience of small kids.

After that the kids watched Condorito: The Movie (Peru, 2017) by Alex Orelle and Eduardo Schuldt. The movie tells about the adventures of Condorito, a human-looking bird that embodies an ordinary latin-american guy. He is a bit down-to-earth, lazy and careless but has a big heart and is full of love. He plays football, dating a girl and dislike his future mother-in-law. Eventually, Condorito unintentionally makes a deal with nasty aliens and accidentally sends his mother-in-law to the Moon. After that Condorito follows her to the Moon, because his girlfriend is missing her mother.

It’s worth noticing that back to 1949 a Chilian caricaturist Rene Rios created a comics character named Condorito, a manlike condor who lived in Chile and was an ordinary guy who always got into adventures. People immediately started to love Condorito. Rene Rios died in 2000 but the comic books about Condorino are still being published. They have become a cultural phenomenon of Spanish-speaking Latin America. After 66 years Chilian and Peruvian directors released a full-length cartoon Condorito: The Movie.
